Youth & Government

Youth and government is a national program of the YMCA that involves thousands of teens nationwide in state-organized, student run, model-government programs. Washington’s Youth and Government program was started in 1947. Each May the Youth Legislature convenes for four days on the Capitol Campus in Olympia, with more than 400 students participating. Waitsburg Youth and Government was established in 2008 and continues to develop an awareness of the need for participation and leadership in our students.
